The F Bomb

I won the hole shot, extended to an early lead, heard a bunch of crashes happening behind me, rode up the gravel water bar climb, made it over the log thing, then endo'd on a slippery root, flipped over, picked up the bike and was still in the lead, saw that my chain was between the inner ring and chain catcher, stopped to fix that and was in about eighth, then rode about 100' and something was really wrong. The right shifter was broken in half. I was not happy. The race was over. It was a frustrating day. What the hell else are you going to do but try again next week.
