Lost River Day 1

"After this all gets paved, this'll be a bad ass loop" - JM

The tally: 2 flats, 1 pair of shorts, 1 large hematoma (all mine), 1 shredded tire, 2 broken chains (none mine), 1 back wheel (arrived tweaked - "uhh, Dave can you fix this real quick before we go ride?"), unending blood, sweat and tears. Mostly sweat and tears. 70 miles, who knows how many feet of climbing, at least 5 Gu packs and a Pepsi.

I'm beat.

Crushin' in all day and I get no love? No account of the near bike throw, kharmic wipe-outs, and climbing in the rain?

That'd be "crushin' *it* all day." I can't even handle words right now, I'm so beat.

It was a gravel road that ended at another gravel road that ended at a more gravely road which is actually the under construction corridor H interstate highway which is fully graded and land scaped but it lacks pavement. Has a thick rock base on top of smoothed out dirt which is just waiting for slab to be poured but like Dave said, it isn't there yet. There was no store, just buzzards lurking.
